WE ARE NATURE
(Considerations on the Anthropocene)

Location : Turkey, Georgia, Russia, Siberia and Mongolia

Filmed during Cinema du Desert's journey to Mongolia by land in 2015. This country is a drastic example of the upcoming perils of desertification and ever lowering temperatures during Winter that are forcing the local population to give up their traditional nomadic lifestyle and move to a problematic and polluted capital city. Using the technique of timelapse we attempted to convey a message of global urgency and simultaneously a call out for social participation and perseverance towards the shared responsibility of our environment.
